A new 3.9M grant from NSF has been awarded to USC investigators to study the genomics of the stress response by using Peromyscus as a model. This grant is a collaboration between USC, Auburn (AL) and Claflin (SC) universities (RII Track-2 FEC-Genome to fitness: An Analysis of the Stress Response in Peromyscus, PI: H. Kiaris). Co-PI is Dr Wendy Hood from Auburn while a scientific advisory board consisting of Dr. Alan Barbour (University of California, Irvine), Dr. Randy Nelson (Ohio State University) and Dr. Brian Trainor (University of California, Davis) has been assembled.
